Many events are free to attend and some have a small cost asscociated with them. Some events have limited space available and require pre-registration via phone or email to attend. Topics covered include: Training, Nutrition, Sleep Strategies, Gear, Teamwork and Efficiency, Advanced and Night Navigation, Skills Development. The clinic will be led by long-time adventure racers Bob Miller and Barb Campbell.

Markham - Adventure Racing - Navigation Seminar
Thursday May 31
This 3-Hour, in-class seminar has been designed to teach the fundamentals of wilderness navigation by map and compass. All of the following topics will be covered: reading and understanding maps, latitude and longitude, Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM), scales, contours, legends, declination, map and field bearings, triangulation and altimeters. After everyone has a firm grasp of the basics, we'll move onto route-finding techniques, which include, following baselines, aiming off, pacing/timing, and selecting the fastest route. To finish things off we'll examine maps from past adventure races and discuss how to properly prepare the map and select your route.

Running Free Milton in partnership with RIDE Milton will be hosting a Beginner Triathlon Clinic beginning April 3rd @ 6:30 for 10 weeks. Our target race is Multisport Canada's Binbrooke Sprint, June 9th. Geared towards those with limited experience or completely new to triathlons - there will be something for everyone. Orangeville - Trail Running Groups
Weekly
Join Running Free on the trails! Weather permitting, we will meet every Sunday. Car-pool from store at 8:45am, or meet at trail at 9:00am*. Bring extra clothing/shoes for ride back, you WILL get muddy!

Each week will be a different 1 hour minimum run on a local trail at Mono Cliffs, Forks of the Credit, Island Lake, Bruce Trail etc. Leader Stephen Bradshaw will post weekly location on Facebook day before.

*Depending on distance from store, may be later. Please note: some trail access points require pay per use parking fees which you will be responsible for.
