Promotional Email
Running Free maintains a list of customers who wish to receive periodic emails containing advance sale notifications, special offers, exclusive discounts, as well as news about product launches, special events, and interesting training articles and reviews. You have the option of joining this update list by providing your email address at a Running Free store location when you make a purchase, registering for updates when you make an online purchase, or entering online through a sign-up box.

As of July 1st, 2014, Canadian Anti-Spam legislation (CASL) requires that all email addresses added to our update list must be accompanied by proof of express consent or implied consent. Detailed below are the steps we take to ensure all of our email communciations are in accordance with Anti-Spam laws.


Express Consent
If you joined our list at a store location or online, or have been on the list for a while, you can provide your Express consent at anytime by clicking on the Confirm link found at the top of every promotional email we send. If you enter your email address into a sign up box on our website or through a social media page, we use a double opt-in process which means you must provide your Express consent to receive email. Double Opt-In or Confirmed Opt-In works like this: After you have submitted your email address we'll send you a Confirm Consent email. You must click the confirm link in this email to be able to receive email from us. You should receive a Confirm Consent email with 5-10 minutes. If you do not, please contact us at memberupdate@runningfree.com.

Implied Consent
If you have provided your email address at one of our store locations or online, and made a purchase within two years of that date, that is considered IMPLIED consent. At anytime you may provide your EXPRESS consent by clicking the confirm link, or revoke your consent by click the Unsubscribe link found in every promotional email you receive. If you haven't made a purchase for two years and you haven't unsubscribed or provided your Express consent, you will be sent one last email requesting that you confirm your address. If you do not, we will no longer send you any promotional email from that point onwards.

Unsubscribe and Update your Preferences
Recipients are provided with a Unsubscribe link and an Update Profile link in each promotional email they receive. If you wish to Unsubscribe or Change your preferences you must use these in-email links. If for any reason you cannot, please contact us a memberupdate@runningfree.com for removal or to edit your preferences. Our store staff do not have access to edit this for you. Email preferences include which (if any) Running Free store you're interested in receiveing information from in addition to regular updates (i.e. If you provided your address at a store, that store will be listed as one of your interests in your profile).

Identity, Privacy, and Address Information
All emails are sent through a email marketing service provider for the purposes of managing consent, bounces, and other email markerting related functions. Running Free will never share or otherwise provide your email address to a third party for any reason unless required by law. All emails are sent from a Running Free store location and the physical mailing address of that location will be listed in the email.

Non-promotional email interactions related to business with Running Free
Your confirmed consent is not required if you have initiated the communication by asking a question, or making a comment via email, or social media, or you initiated a special order, transfer, backorder at a Running Free location and requested information be sent to you via email.

Whenever you place an order on our site your information is protected. When you begin your checkout and when you log into your account, we encrypt your information using state-of-the-art encryption technology. The most sensitive and private information is stored in our database using AES 256 encryption, this is one of the most secure ways to encrypt stored data. Your peace of mind is extremely important to us, and for that reason we take your privacy very seriously!

Order Acceptance

Submitting an order to RunningFree.com does not constitute our acceptance of the items, details, or conditions of your order. Your order will be reviewed and you will be notified via email if anything has changed or been incorrectly stated in your order confirmation. You may cancel your order at anytime (up until your order has been processed for shipping), if you no longer wish to purchase those items by sending an email or calling customer service.

Holding Stock

If you have placed an order for multiple items and some are in stock and some sold out, we will hold the in stock items for you for a period of 5 days without hearing from you. After 5 days, the in stock items will be released back into inventory for other customers to purchase. You will be notified via email if some of your items are not in stock even though they may have been listed as "in stock" when you submitted your order.

Revisions and Errata

The product, store, and event information appearing on Running Free's web site could include technical, pricing, date, typographical, or photographic errors. We do not warrant that any of the information on our web site is accurate, or complete, although every effort is made to ensure maximum accuracy. Information displayed on our site may change at our discretion and Running Free reserves the right to may make changes to the information contained on it's web site at any time without notice.

Stock Status

The stock status of an item as displayed on RunningFree.com or your order confirmation is subject to review and confirmation. We cannot guarantee that an item listed as "in stock" will be available to ship, due to inventory discpreanices, delay in website update, or other technical errors. We make every effort to present as stock status information as accurately as we can, and you will notified if any an item is out of stock via email. Items listed as not in stock (i.e. "Ships in 2-3 Weeks, 4-6 weeks, etc...) are not physically in stock, and upon your order submission for such an item, we will try to order that item/size/colour for you from our suppliers. If the item is available we will order it for you, and ship it to you immediately when we receive it.

Shipping

All orders that qualify for free shipping are shipped via regular shipping speed from a courier of our choosing. Qualifying orders must meet the dollar value minimum before taxes and after any discounts. If your order value drops below the minimum for your area, you'll be charged shipping at the regular rate. Under certain uncommon circumstances, shipping cost for some orders may exceed the posted rates above due to size, weight, insurance requirements, or other factors. If a higher shipping charge (or return shipping charge) is necessary on your order at the time of shipping, we will notify you via email for your approval before proceeding, and your order will be held until we receive your response. If no response is received, your order will be cancelled after 5 business days. Submitting an order consitutes your acceptance that you have reviewed the shipping address is correct both during checkout and immediately after that the shipping address in your order confirmation is correct, and if it isn't you must immediately notify us before your order is shipped of any changes necessary. Once a package has been shipped, assistance or compensation for packages delivered to an incorrect address are not possible. Packages that are investigated and deemed not delivered by the courier may be subject to a maximum insurance value. Availability varies based on the courier and the specific conditions of your shipment. You are required to cooperate with a courier's investigation and provide whatever information is requested. In some cases filing a police report for a missing package may be required to proceed.

Online Ordering

Your password is encrypted to ensure no one else can gain access to your account. If you forget your password just fill in your email address that was previously provided to us, and information that will help you log into your account will be sent to that address. Please protect your personal information by keeping your password a secret and make sure you log off properly and take any necessary steps while using a shared computer.
