Online Returns basics

Simply return qualifying items to us within 30 days of receiving your order for a refund on regular and sale priced merchandise that meet the criteria for a return. If you prefer a different size or colour, please place a new order right away for the item you would like. You may also return items to an authorized store if you wish to exchange (exchanges are In-Store only - see authorized stores below). Please allow 3-4 business days for processing after your return is received.

All orders* are entitled to one free return label per order which can be obtained by contacting us using the instructions below. Original shipping costs will not be refunded. Free shipping is a promotion and if your order no longer qualifies for the promotion after your return, the cost of shipping for your area will be deducted from your refund including if you return all of your items. If your order after returns no longer meets the requirements of any coupons or special offers you applied, your refund will be adjusted accordingly when your return is processed.

What are the criteria for online returns?

All products being returned must be in original condition and sellable as new. You may try shoes on clean indoor surfaces that won't mark outsoles. Beware of treadmills that may cause visible wear very quickly and render shoes not returnable. All retail packaging and items such as tags or manuals must also be in new condition. Underwear bottoms and bathing suits may be returned if in brand new, unworn and unopened condition with all tags, packaging and sanitary liners still attached. For safety and health reasons, food items including gels, bars, drinks, and supplements cannot be returned. DVD's and CD's must be unopened to qualify for a refund. Gift Cards and items with a sale price ending in .00 are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Can I bring an item purchased online back to a store?

Items purchased online may be returned at Running Free stores in Barrie, Markham, or Newmarket. Online orders cannot be returned to Running Free Orangeville. In-store returns must be accompanied by your original invoice received with your package and the credit card that was used for your purchase. If the original credit card is not present, a store credit will be issued instead. If you earned free shippping, it will not be affected if you return your item in-store.

Something went wrong!

If there's ever a problem with your order, please let us know right away so we correct the mistake as quickly as possible. If you have a problem with something you purchased from us, and think it might be covered by a warranty, contact us first. If available, warranties range considerably from product to product. We can explain specific warranties to you and help you return your product if it's determined that a defect is present. Please include photos showing the general condition of the item as well as of the problem areas.

To begin your return, please make sure you have reviewed the information above to ensure your items meet the criteria for a return. When ready, email us at shop@runningfree.com with the following information:
  • ORDER NUMBER
  • ITEM(S) BEING RETURNED
  • REASON FOR RETURN
When we receive your email, we will reply with instructions to print your free return shipping label. Limit of one label per order. Free return shipping is only available on orders placed through runningfree.com. Purchases made in store must be brought back to the store in person or mailed at your own cost. Heavy or bulky items cannot be returned via a pre-paid label. This applies to oversized and overweight items. All unauthorized returns will be refused. Pre-Paid return labels are only issued for items purchased online.

*TO OUR AMERICAN CUSTOMERS: Pre-paid labels cannot be issued to USA addresses. Please email us for a return authorization. Items must be returned at your cost and a $10 online credit will be issued when your return is processed. Please write “Canadian Goods Returning” on the outside of your package or duties and customs fees incurred will be deducted from your refund.
